The answer is no, but people may choose to be tracked to help with public health policy information. This is strictly an opt-in option when they purchase the MyVax app. The user controls the app to turn off-and-on the location services on their own phone. This control is only accessible by the user with a simple button on the first screen of the app. On top of this user management, tracking would only work if hooked up to the SalamanderLive Platform when the country buys this option and enables it. At no point is the tracking, not an opt-in option.
#1 reason is privacy. You control your data. As a consumer, you have access to your most recent test and vaccination data anywhere with an internet connection, through the MyVax app. Nothing is accessed through social media permissions or sign-on. No data is stored or accessible to companies whose main revenue is advertising or selling services. All your data is safely encrypted in one place, so you’ll always have access to the latest updated data even with multiple points of tests and vaccinations across multiple international borders like an airport test site far from home. Notifications regarding boosters and efficacy are also managed by the app.
You can always carry a paper or pdf version of your latest healthcare transactions as these are supplied for free. If you purchased the MyVax app and you do not have connectivity at the moment, you can run your MyVax app in the cached mode which displays all of your events as you need them. The other option is for International Travelers to purchase at a low cost a Travel Test and Vaccination Card. These cards last for ten years and can store each individual's records and will work across the ICAO border system with most scanners. The card is updated through the app.
All data is uploaded from trusted and vetted healthcare providers These connections are protected with 128-bit SSL encryption plus another layer of authentication and encryption called PKI. Your data is automatically backed up at all times with rotating 256 AES keys and stored in a government-secured certified cloud service provider. At no time is any data shared with social media providers or phone manufacturers.
Yes and No, your test and vaccination information is yours alone. You or a designated caregiver can give the doctor the information that we collect at each healthcare transaction via a sharing function from your app, this is an optional feature. If you opt-in at the point of registration to share the test or vaccination event to your Electronic Health Record and IIS and your country of record supports this function, we will message these systems. Fundamentally your account is private! A small subset of your healthcare transaction is anonymized each time and sorted for use by specifically designated public health officials.
No, your test and vaccination information is encrypted and digitally-signed via a certified blockchain used by governments around the world. This immutable record is permanent and cannot be altered. We bind your identity to this signature for additional trust and this can be verified with our easy-to-use iCheck tool or by looking at the source ID when a certificate is presented.
